This eclectic collection of Spanish Renaissance music is inspired by a laudatory poem which theologian Luis de León (1527–1591) dedicated to Francisco de Salinas (1513–1590), organist and music theorist. The poem summarises their shared vision on music and its artistic, scientific and spiritual dimensions and encouraged Seldom Sene to explore the masterful beauty of Spanish Renaissance music, aiming to speak to the mind, heart and soul of contemporary listeners.
